This was our first project.  The girls experimented with wire in the clay characters, but I think they ended up not using any because it was too stiff.  They had a good storyboard and very cute characters!  The clay did begin to melt under the warm lights after a while - you may notice the girl’s face gets a bit mushy in the second closeup.

The water is shredded paper that we patted before shooting every frame.  That gave the water its constant motion.  You can see one of the light reflectors just appear on the right side of the screen twice because we duplicated that part of the film.
