During the movie I mispronounce the word chinampa. It is pronounced "chin•am•pa", SORRY!

I built a model chinampa over two days and this is a documentary movie about my project.
It is 19 minutes long.
Thank You to Fred and Joy Croom for loaning me their Sony DVD101 video camera.

Also thanks to my dad who filmed me, gave me advice, and did the web stuff.
Building a Chinampa
The Aztec capital was Tenochtitlan. Tenochtitlan was an island in the middle of lake Texcoco. The Aztecs created large floating fields off-shore where they grew their crops. These fields were called Chinampas and they could also live on them. They could be almost a football field in size. Chinampas are still created and used in Central and South America today.
